Char Siu Chicken Thighs with Asian Slaw

Ingredients

  • 4 Chicken leg portions
  • MARINADE
  • 6 Tbsp Lee Kum Kee Char Siu Sauce
  • 2 tsp Lee Kum Kee Premium Oyster Sauce
  • ASIAN SLAW
  • 200 g carrots julienne
  • 200 g Daikon radish julienne
  • 200 g white cabbage finely shredded
  • 100 g radish sliced thinly
  • Slaw dressing
  • 100 g Lee Kum Kee Plum Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Lee Kum Kee Chilli Garlic Sauce
  • 3 Tbsp Lee Kum Kee Pure Sesame Oil
  • 2 g Sesame seeds
  • 1 lime juice and zest

Instructions

  • Marinate the chicken in the Lee Kum Kee Premium Oyster Sauce and half theLee Kum Kee Char Siu Sauce for at least 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 190C/ 170C fan/ gas 5 and roast the marinated chicken for 15 minutes. Then turn the meat and roast for another 10 minutes on the other side. Check the chicken is cooked by piercing the thickest part with a skewer and the juices should run clear.
  • Brush on the remaining marinate. Turn off the oven and leave the chicken inside to rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
  • Combine the slaw vegetables in a large mixing bowl.
  • Put all the dressing ingredients in a jar and shake well. Pour over the slaw and mix well before serving.
  • Serve the Char Siu Chicken with Asian slaw for a healthy meal.
